Inwood Elementary Logo

Opening in 1927, Inwood Elementary is a Winter Haven school with a rich history of serving the local community.

We are conveniently located inside a close-knit neighborhood. Many students live so close to our campus that they simply walk to school and do not rely on busing. Some families have had multiple generations attend Inwood Elementary and learn inside our classrooms.

We are proud to be the “Inwood Innovators” because our students and staff members are active learners who continuously discover new knowledge.

Our school offers a well-rounded education for K – 5 grade students. All classes include curriculum aligned to state standards. At Inwood Elementary, students are empowered to take ownership of their education and become critical thinkers and future leaders.

Our mascot is the impala — an African antelope that symbolizes grace, agility, and resilience. These same traits also summarize Inwood’s hard-working students and dedicated staff. Impalas are also tremendous jumpers, leaping distances of more than 30 feet! This jumping ability serves as a reminder to our students and staff that they should always strive for higher achievement.

Our logo also features a mechanical gear, which symbolizes that each student and staff member is an integral part of their school community, and working together they can accomplish great things.

The mission of Inwood Elementary is to develop caring, productive, life long learners, who accept responsibility for their own learning and behavior.
